Climate: A warm dry winter, hot during harvest

Age of Vines: 16 years average

Irrigation: Drip Irrigation

Soil: Sandy Loam

Yield: 10 Tons/hectare

Vinification: 10 days on skins in open fermenters @ 25 degrees celcius. The cap was punched down and pumped over twice a day.

Maturation: 12 month old French Oak – 2D fill barrels

Tasting Notes: Complex and layered aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and sweet spice are further complemented by notes of white pepper ,cigar box on the nose. The palate has a plush, juicy red and black fruit core with seamless, integrated tannins. A well-balanced ,structured wine with grace and elegance. Beautiful savoury notes on the finish.

Food Suggestion: The perfect partner to steak, classic beef dishes, casseroles or a selection of well-matured cheeses.

Ageing Potential: 9 years from vintage
